■合格の秘訣

　私は３年生になるまで将来の夢がありませんでした。何となく思い浮かぶ職業はあるものの、本当にやりたいかと問われたら自信を持ってうなずくことはできない状態でした。そのため、合格の秘訣というよりも特に進路で迷っている方に伝えたいことを書き綴っていきたいと思います。

　私が皆さんに伝えたいことは、納得できるまで悩み抜いてほしいということです。私は国立理系に所属していながらも文転を決め、文系の大学を目指しました。決して楽な道のりではありませんでしたが、最初から文系に行けば良かったと後悔したことはありません。理系で学んだからこそ身につけられたものは面接のときにも大いに役に立ちましたし、知識を広げるための勉強にもなりました。

　悩み抜くといっても、人それぞれ納得がいくまでの時間も道のりも違うと思います。自分の中で完結できる人もいれば、いろいろな人に相談して答えを探す人もいるでしょう。私の場合、先生に相談したことがとても大きかったように思います。何に悩んでいるのか、どうして決められないのかすべてを話し、日本女子大学の英文学科を勧めていただきました。理系に進んでからも自分が好きなことは何なのかを探してきて、やっと英語だったら全力を注げるかもしれない、と感じていた時だったので、先生に相談したことで背中を押してもらうことができました。

　先生に相談したことで自分の好きなことを見失わずに、自信をもって受験に臨むことができました。友だちに相談したことで、自分が考えているものとは違う世界のことを知ることができ、いろいろな考え方に触れることができました。外部からの声で見える自分もあると思います。積極的に自分の思いを話してみることをオススメします。

　まだ志望校を決められない人、文転に不安を持っている人、大丈夫です。たくさん調べて、たくさん悩んで、信頼できる人に相談してみてください。悩んだ分だけ決まった時の自信につながります。３年生はあっという間に過ぎていくので、後悔しないように進路実現を目指して頑張って下さい。応援しています。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　指定校推薦で大事になるのは評定と模試の結果です。評定は定期テストを頑張るほかありません。模試は定期テストと違って偏差値を上げるのはなかなか難しいと思いますが、自分が何の教科が必要なのかよく調べ、絞って、効率的に勉強するようにしてみるといいと思います。

　その他にも、部活動を３年間続けることやボランティアに積極的に参加してみるのも自分をアピールするいい材料になります。たくさんのことを経験することで損なことはありません。必ず役に立ったと思える日が来ます。自分に興味がないことでも一度体験してみて下さい。

　受験は孤独でつらいものだと思います。でも、応援してくれる親や先生方、一緒に戦っている友達がいます。自分を支えてくれる周りの人たちと一緒に志望校合格を目指して、あきらめずに頑張って下さい。

'The End of my Troubles'

I had no dream of my future until I became a junior. I had a job in mind, but I couldn't nod with confidence when I was asked if I really wanted to do it. For that reason, I would like to write what I want to tell to those who are especially hesitant about their career path rather than the secret of passing.

What I want to tell you is that I want you to worry until you are satisfied. Even though I belonged to the national science department, I decided to transfer to a liberal arts college. It was not an easy journey, but I have never regretted that I should have gone to liberal arts from the beginning. What I learned in science was very useful at the interview, and I learned to spread my knowledge.

I think that the time and the way to be satisfied are different for each person even if it is said to plough. Some people will be able to finish within themselves, while others will consult with various people to find an answer. In my case, I think it was very important to consult with the teacher. I told her all about what she was worried about and why she couldn't decide, and she recommended me to study English at Japan Women's University. Even after I entered the science course, I searched for what I liked, and at last I felt that I might be able to put all my energy into English, so I was able to be encouraged by my teacher's advice.

By consulting with the teacher, I was able to take the exam with confidence without losing sight of what I like. By consulting with my friends, I was able to learn about a different world from what I was thinking, and I was able to come into contact with various ideas. I think I can see it from outside. I recommend you to talk about your feelings actively.

If you can't decide the school you want to go to, or if you are worried about changing to a Literature Course, you should be fine. Please research a lot, think about it a lot, and consult someone you can trust. The more you worry about, the more confidence you have when you decide. The time during the 3rd grade flies quickly, so please do your best to realize your career path without regret. I'm cheering for you.

Message

The important thing about the designated school recommendation is the result of the evaluation and mock examination. You have no choice but to do your best on regular tests. Unlike regular exams, it is quite difficult to raise your deviation value for simulation test, but I think you should check what subjects you need, narrow down the subject and study efficiently.

In addition, continuing club activities for 3 years and actively participating in volunteer activities are good materials to appeal yourself. There is nothing to lose by experiencing many things. There will always be a day when I think it was useful. Even if you are not interested in yourself, please try it once.

I think entrance exams are lonely and hard. But there are parents, teachers and friends who are fighting together. Don't give up and do your best, aiming to pass the entrance examination of your preferred school with the people around you who support you.
