防衛大学校・防衛医科大学校 入試説明会

　９月５日の放課後、自衛官のご担当者をお招きし、防衛大学校・防衛医科大学校の出願説明会を行いました。

　防衛大学校は、自衛隊のリーダー（幹部自衛官）となる人物を育成する大学教育機関です。防衛省の機関であるため「大学校」という名称ですが、一般大学と同じく４年制の教育を行い、卒業時には通常の大学と同じく「学位」が授与されます。また、学生の約１０％が海外留学したり、留学生（海外の士官学校学生等）も多数いることなどから、国際教育においても幅広く学ぶことが出来ます。

　また、防衛医科大学校は、「医官（医師である幹部自衛官）となるべき者を養成し、医学に関する高度な知識・研究能力を修得するための教育・訓練を行うこと」を目的として開設された防衛省機関です。看護学科も開設されており、防衛大学校と同じく、一般の医科大学と変わらない教育を行います。

　両校の出願は特殊な内容があるため、説明会を実施しました。２年生も参加しており、今後へ向けての進路選択の幅を広げました。

Explanatory meetings for entrance examinations
at the National Defense Academy and National Defense Medical College

After school on September 5, we invited personnel in charge of the Self-Defense Forces and held a briefing session on applications for the National Defense Academy and the National Defense Medical College.

The National Defense Academy is a university educational institution that fosters leaders (Senior SDF personnel) of the Self-Defense Forces. As it is an institution of the Ministry of Defense, it is called "university", but it provides a 4-year education system just like regular universities, and students are awarded "degree" upon graduation, just like regular universities. In addition, approximately 10% of the students study abroad, and there are many international students (Military academy students abroad), making it possible to study a wide range of international education.

The National Defense Medical College is an organization of the Ministry of Defense established for the purpose of "To train persons to become medical officers (Senior SDF personnel who are doctors) and to provide education and training to acquire advanced knowledge and research capabilities concerning medicine". There is also a nursing department, which provides the same education as general medical schools as the National Defense Academy.

We held a briefing session because the applications of both schools had special contents. The second year students also participated in the program, which expanded the range of career options for the future.
