強まる地元志向

　私立大学では2016年度からの入学定員厳格化の影響で、ここ数年難易度が上昇。それを避けるように2020年度入試では志願者数が減少に転じ、今もその志望動向が継続しています。

　今年度はさらにコロナの影響もあるためか、前年度と比較すると38の道府県で地元大学の志望者割合が高くなり、地元志向が強まっている傾向が見られています。県外の上位大学を目指さず、地元の中堅大学に落ち着くという学力上位層も多くなっているようです。入試改革による安全志向、コロナによる地元志向。先の読めない受験となりそうです。

　ちなみに、地元大学への志望者割合が減少しているのは、岩手、東京、神奈川、愛知、鳥取、愛媛、高知、福岡、長崎です。

Increasingly local-oriented

　The difficulty level of private universities has increased over the past few years due to the tightening of admission capacity since 2016. As if to avoid this, the number of applicants for the 2020 entrance exam began to decline, and the trend of aspirations continues today.

　In 38 prefectures in Japan this year, perhaps due in part to the effects of the corona, the percentage of applicants to local universities is higher in 38 prefectures than in the previous year, indicating a trend of increasing local orientation. Some of the top-ranked students in these regions are not aiming for top-tier universities outside the prefecture, but rather are settling for mid-tier universities in their hometowns. 　Incidentally, the percentages of applicants to local universities are decreasing in Iwate, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Aichi, Tottori, Ehime, Kochi, Fukuoka and Nagasaki.
