時代の期待（県内の高齢者　過去最高）

　9月21日は敬老の日でしたが、福島県内の65歳以上の高齢者は去年より約6,000人増え、８月１日現在57万8,839人で、人口に占める割合は32.1％（全国では28.4％）となっています。また、このうち100歳以上の高齢者は1,369人となっています。割合が高いのは、金山町の59.7％をはじめ、会津地方に多いようです。　

　医療の発展により「無病息災」から「１病息災」、つまり病気を抱えながら長生きをする時代と言われています。社会保障給付費（年金・医療・福祉その他）も年々増大しており、少子高齢化先進国である日本の政策は世界からも注目されています。

　少子高齢化は、医療や福祉の道に進む人はもちろん、すべての業種で関わってくる課題です。どんな社会を築いていくべきか、考えてみませんか？

Record high for the elderly in Fukushima

September 21 was Respect-for-Senior-Citizens Day, and the number of people aged 65 and older in Fukushima Prefecture increased by about 6,000 from last year to 578,839 as of August 1, which is 32.1% of the total population (compared to 28.4% nationally). Of these, 1,369 were aged 100 years or older. The highest percentage seems to be in the Aizu region, including 59.7% in Kanayama town.　

　Due to the development of medical care, it is said that we are living a long life with a disease, or in other words, we are living a long life with a disease.
