■合格の秘訣

　私はこのたび同志社大学に指定校推薦で合格することができました。春からは、より勉学に励みたいと思います。私が志望校を決めたのは、夏休みの直前でした。それまでなんとなく進学するかどうか迷っていた私に、先生が進めてくださったのが同志社大学でした。しかし、その時点では評定は足りていても、偏差値が足りませんでした。そこで最終判定は、夏休み明けの確認テストの結果で考慮すると言われました。

　そのため、まず第一に点数が一番伸びる教科を重点的に勉強しました。私は日本史が一番得意だったので、日本史に一番力を入れました。ベネッセのClassiの一問一答は出題範囲をやり込み、正答率をすべて１００％にして、わからないところは動画を見たりして勉強していきました。国語と英語は、過去問をやり込みました。夏休み中は毎日できる限り勉強しました。友達と遊べないのは、とても嫌でしたが、無事、指定校推薦の候補生となれたときは、「夏休みを返上して勉強して良かった」と心から思いました。

　指定校推薦をいただいた後は、面接試験に向けての練習が始まりました。私はそれまで面接は、質問の答えを暗記して答えるようなものだと思っていました。しかし、不意に予想もしていなかった質問がきたとき、答えにつまってしまうときがありました。そのときに、面接担当の先生から「暗記するのはダメだ」と言われました。理想としては、質問に対してその場で頭の中で答えを考えて言えるようにすることでした。私が受験する学科は、日本史を学ぶ学科なので、日本史の内容を問う質問が来てもいいように、歴史の本をたくさん読みました。もちろん、新聞でニュースを確認したり、京都の世界遺産や、歴史をたくさん調べました。こうしたたくさんの練習や下準備をしてきたため、試験当日は今までやってきたことをやればいいだけだと思って、落ち着いて試験に臨むことができました。

　合格するにあたって、本当にたくさんの先生方に教えていただき、とても感謝しています。合格という形で、先生方にお礼をお返しすることができて、とてもよかったと思います。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　私は、偏差値が足りず、三年生の模試でとても苦労しました。１・２年生の頃から、模試を真剣に受けていればよかったなと、後悔しています。そのため、今からでも面倒くさがらずに一回一回の模試を真剣に受けてほしいと思います。

　また、まだ志望校が決まっていないときは、できるだけたくさんの学校のオープンキャンパスに行った方がいいと思います。パンフレットを見ることと実際に訪れることでは、まったく違います。校舎や授業、まわりの町並みを見ることで、この大学に行きたいと強く思い、勉強の励みになると思います。じっくりあせらず、志望校を選んでほしいと思います。３年生の夏休み明けでも遅くないので、ぜひ今から頑張ってほしいと思います。

I was able to pass Doshisha University by recommendation of a designated school. I want to study harder from spring. It was just before the summer vacation when I decided the school of my choice. It was Doshisha University that my teacher recommended to me, who had been wondering whether I should go on to university or not. However, the deviation value was not enough even though the rating was enough at that time. So, I was told that the final decision will be considered in the result of the confirmation test after summer vacation.

For that reason, first of all, I focused on the subjects with the highest scores. I was best at Japanese history, so I put the most emphasis on Japanese history. Benesse's Classi question and answer range was chosen, and the percentage of correct answers was all 100%. I did past exam questions in Japanese and English. I studied as much as I could every day during the summer vacation. I hated not being able to play with my friends, but when I was able to become a candidate for a designated school, I thought from the bottom of my heart, "I'm glad I gave up the summer vacation and studied.".

After receiving the recommendation of the designated school, we started practicing for the interview. I used to think that an interview was like memorizing the answers to questions. But when I suddenly got an unexpected question, I couldn't answer it. At that time, the interviewer told me, "You can't memorize it.". Ideally, I wanted to be able to think and say the answer to the question in my head. The subject I'm going to take is Japanese history, so I've read a lot of history books so that I can ask questions about Japanese history. Of course, I checked the news in the newspaper and looked up the world heritage and history of Kyoto a lot. With so much practice and preparation, I thought that on the day of the exam, all I had to do was do what I had done so far, so I was able to take the exam calmly.

I am very grateful that so many teachers taught me how to pass the exam. I think it was very good that I was able to repay the teachers in the form of passing the exam.

Message

My deviation value was not enough, so I had a hard time at the mock exam of the third grade. I regret that I should have taken MOSHI seriously since I was a freshman or sophomore. Therefore, I want you to take the simulation test once seriously without being bothered even now.

Also, if you haven't decided which school you want to go, you should go to as many open campuses as possible. It is completely different to look at the brochure and to actually visit. Looking at the school buildings, classes, and the streets around the university will encourage you to study. I want you to choose the school of your choice without hurrying. It's not too late even after the summer vacation of the 3rd grade, so I hope you will do your best from now.
