■合格の秘訣

　

　私の大きな分岐点は夏でした。夏のインターハイの結果で私の進路は大きく変わりました。

　私は正直、勉強より部活を頑張ってきました。ふつうの高校生は反対だと思います。しかし、私には大きな目標があり、それを成し遂げるには部活動に力を入れる必要がありました。そして、迎えた高校最後のインターハイ。目標には届きませんでしたが、尚志高校初となるベスト4になりました。

　この結果が、私の進路を大きく変えました。それまで考えていた大学よりも、良い大学を選択できるようになったのです。ただ無我夢中で目標に向かって頑張ってきた部活動が、私の進路を変えてくれたのです。

　私の受験の時期は早く、他の生徒よりも共に受験の準備をしました。私は一次審査に書類審査、二次審査に面接と小論文がありました。志望理由書では、ただ教科書通りに書くのではなく、自分の長所を強く書き、その大学、学部で何を学び、将来どういうふうになりたいかを明確に書きました。面接では基礎の部分を完璧にし、相手の質問に対してただ答えを言うのではなく、自分の考えを一つ加えて発言するようにしました。一番苦労したのは小論文で、ただの感想文になってしまうことが多く、根の部分から直すのが大変でした。多くの問題を解き頭の中にレパートリーを増やすことが大切だと思います。まずは、数をこなし、その後時間内にできるように何度も繰り返し問題を解いた方が良いと思います、それから、本を多く読んだ方が良いと思います。本を読むことにより、正しい言葉や漢字を学ぶことができ、小論文や面接に大きく役に立ちました。台本通りの自分ではなく素の自分を出すこと、先生の指示を待つのではなく、自分から行動していくことが合格の秘訣だと思います。

　私は、「結果」を出したから今の進路があります。三年間、部活動にかける思いは誰よりも強かったと思います。その結果が報われて良かったです。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　私はこの受験を通して、「目標を持つ」ということの大切さを知りました。目標がないまま努力しても意味がないし意図がない。だから、まず目標を決めた方が良いと思います。目標は大きくて良いと思います。正直、まだ自分も目標を達成できていません。しかし、その目標に向かってきたからこそ、進路も広がりました。目標を見失ってしまう時があると思います。その時支えてくれるのは、仲間と家族です。仲間がいたから共に頑張れたし、家族の応援があったから、乗り越えられたと思います。支えてくれている人達のためにも逃げてはいけません。自分の目標を達成するためにも、常に前を見て、少しずつ進んでください。
　最後に、目標を持って結果を出してください。応援しています。私も結果を出します。
