SDGsとは、持続可能な開発目標（Sustainable development Goals）の略で、2015年に国連で採択されて依頼、世界中の人々がこの目標を共有して2030年に向かって歩んでいます。


◎全世界で、7 億5000 万人の女性・少女が18 歳未満で結婚し、30 ヵ国で少なくとも2 億人の女性・少女がFGM（女性性器切除）を受けている。

◎15～49 歳の女性・少女の19％を含め、女性・少女の5 人に1 人は、最近12 か月以内に親密なパートナーから身体的および／または性的な暴力を受けている。しかし49 ヵ国には、女性をこのような暴力から具体的に保護する法律がない。

◎全世界で女性の政界進出がかなり進んでいるものの、女性国会議員の割合は23.7％と、男女同数にはまだほど遠い。

日本は女性の人権が平等に扱われていますが、世界に目を向けるとそれが当たり前ではないことが分かりますね。そんな日本でも、女性国会議員比率は10.2％で、193 ヵ国中165 位（衆院／2018 年末）です。G20（主要20 ヵ国）の中では最下位。ジェンダー平等が実現されているとは言えないですね。まずは家庭やクラスで、ジェンダー平等を意識しましょう。

SDGs.6  Let's achieve gender equality

The SDGs stand for Sustainable Development Goals, adopted and commissioned by the United Nations in 2015, and people all over the world share these goals as we move toward 2030.

Worldwide, 750 million women and girls are married before the age of 18, and at least 200 million women and girls in 30 countries have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM).

One in five women and girls, including 19% of women and girls aged 15-49, has been physically and/or sexually violated by an intimate partner in the last 12 months. However, 49 countries do not have laws that specifically protect women from such violence.

Despite significant progress in women's political participation around the world, the percentage of female parliamentarians is still far from equal for men and women, at 23.7%.

In Japan, women's rights are treated equally, but if you look at the rest of the world, you can see that this is not the norm. Even in Japan, the percentage of female parliamentarians is 10.2%, ranking 165th out of 193 countries (House of Representatives/end of 2018), the lowest among the G20 (20 major countries). We cannot say that gender equality has been achieved. First, be aware of gender equality at home and in the classroom.
