■合格の秘訣

　私はこの度、立命館大学政策科学部に指定校推薦入試で受験し合格することができました。入学時から尚志高校では文武両道を実践して、レベルの高い大学に進学しようと考えていました。しかし、なかなか文武両道を体現することができなかったのが現実でした。自分の中で言い訳や御託を並べ、苦しいことや辛いことを避けてばかりでした。そんな日々を過ごしているうちに「本当にこれでよいのか」と自問自答を繰り返し、いよいよ時間がなくなり３年生になっていました。私は追いこまれて初めてこのままではまずいと思い学習をし始めました。もし、この文章を読んでくれているのならば、是非とも反面教師だと思って読んでもらうのが一番良いと思います。「自分が将来どんな仕事をしたいのか。」「どんな姿になっていたいのか。」「そのためにはどんなことを学び、どんな資格を取らなければいけないのか。」いろいろなことを考えて、そして計画を立てて初めて受験という形に移れるのだと思います。私の進学する立命館大学政策科学部は、地方の行政や人口減少問題、過疎化などのような問題をどのようにして解決していくかを学ぶ学部です。私は幼いころから地方活性化に携わりたいという夢がありました。確かに人よりも学習を行うのはとても遅かったと思います。でも、その夢をかなえるためと思い、そのために頑張るという気持ちがあったからこそ、最後まで頑張れたのではないかと思います。根性論は古いんじゃないかと、今の時代では言われています。しかし、私はそうではないと思います。何事も無気力でやるより、確実にやる気を出して行うことで、より良い方向へ向かっていくのだと思います。ただ大学に入るために勉強するのはとてもつらく、大変なことだと思います。自分のためでもいいですし、だれかのために勉強すると考えれば、意外とつらくならないかと思います。長々と書きましたが、自分の志に向かってこれからの学習に励んでください。

■後輩へのメッセージ

「努力は必ず報われる。もし報われない努力があるのならば、それはまだ努力と呼べない。」世界のホームラン王と呼ばれる王貞治さんの言葉です。「なんでこんなにやっているのに結果が出ないのだろう。自分はダメなんじゃないか。」そう思うときは必ずあると思います。その時に、どういう態度で挑むのかが大事だと思います。腐って自暴自棄になるのは簡単です。その時に、もう一踏ん張り、「できるか、できないか」を、他人も見ていると思います。誰だって、やったことのないことをやろうとするときは批判されます。でも、先人たちはそれをはねかえして、いろいろなことを達成してきました。私は辛いときに西郷隆盛の言葉を思い出して頑張っていました。最後にその言葉を送ります。

I took the entrance examination recommended by the policy science department of Ritsumeikan University and was able to pass it. From the time I entered Shoshi High School, I wanted to practice both arts of literature and martial arts and go on to a high level university. However, the reality was that it was difficult to embody both the literary and military arts. I kept making excuses and favors in my mind and avoiding hard things. While I was spending those days, I kept asking myself, "Is this really OK?" and finally I was in the 3rd grade. It was not until I was overtaken that I began to learn, thinking that this was not going to work. If you're reading this, I think it's best to read it as a lesson. "What kind of job do you want to do in the future?" "What do you want to look like?" "What do they learn and what qualifications do they have to obtain to do so?" I think you can take the entrance exam only after you think about various things and make a plan. The policy science department of Ritsumeikan University where I go to is the department where you learn how to solve problems such as local administration, population decrease and depopulation. I had a dream to be involved in regional revitalization from an early age. I think it's true that they learned much later than people. However, I think I was able to do my best until the end because I thought I would do my best to make that dream come true, and because I had the feeling that I would do my best for it. It is said today that the theory of radicalism is old. But I don't think so. I think we can go in a better direction by doing things with motivation rather than doing things without energy. But I think it is very hard and hard to study to enter a university. If you think that you study for yourself or someone else, it won't be hard. I wrote a lot, but please study hard for your own purpose.

Message

As a message to those who are about to take the entrance examination, I want them to think seriously about their choice of career path and not to leave any regrets. The choice to go to college is a much bigger choice than everyone thinks. I want them to think about "Can I do what I want with that choice?" the best way to get a job or a vocational school. For those of you who still say "I can't decide." or "I don't know my future." you may find something you want to do as you dig into things that interest you even a little at present. As a senior, I have nothing more to say than this, but I think it will be interesting to learn more about yourself by reviewing your attitude in your life other than studying, and it will be advantageous in an interview. I hope the students from now on will be able to graduate with a smile.

6月19日（水）、１学年の総合的な探究の時間で「大学・短大ミニ出前授業」が行われました。
県内外の様々な大学・短大の先生を講師にお迎えし、生徒たちはそれぞれ自分の興味のある分野に分かれて、大学・短大の模擬授業を体験しました。




On Wednesday, June 19, "University and Junior College Mini Outdoor Courses" was held during the 1st grader comprehensive class period.
