『 合格した秘訣 』

■合格の秘訣

　

　私はこのたび、立命館大学に指定校推薦で合格することができました。

　私は三年生になってから、大学進学を強く意識するようになりました。それまで大学進学についての知識を持っていなかった私は、入学試験の方法を調べることから始めました。AO入試や、公募制推薦入試などありましたが、指定校推薦入試が自分に合っていると思い、指定校推薦を利用して大学に進学しようと考えました。

　指定校推薦で大学に進学しようと決めましたが、推薦枠をいただくためには、評定や偏差値などの条件を満たしていないといけません。私は、定期テストの勉強しかしてこなかったため、評定は条件を満たしていましたが、模試の結果は、第一志望の大学の合格者偏差値と自分の偏差値に大きな差がありました。自分が第一志望の大学の指定校推薦枠をいただくためには、模試で結果を出すということが一番大切なことだと考え、勉強に取り組み始めました。

　私は、勉強に取り組み始めた時期が遅かったことに加えて、部活と両立させなければいけないということもあり、いかに効率よく勉強に取り組むかを考えました。まずは、各教科担当の先生方に受験対策のための参考書や勉強法について質問しました。先生方は、私の実力に合ったアドバイスをしてくださいました。その後は、ひたすら問題集を解き、わからない問題を先生に質問するという方法で勉強を継続していきました。また、進路について悩んだり行き詰まったりしたときは、担当の先生や進路指導室の先生に相談をしました。その都度先生方が、適切なアドバイスをくださったので、とてもありがたかったです。

　私は、この方法で勉強を進めて、良い結果を得ることができましたが、今になって思うことは、自分に合った勉強の方法をみつけることも大切ですが、それ以上に、第一志望の大学に合格したいという強い気持ちと、勉強を継続することができる強い意志の方が大切だということです。大学受験で得ることができた経験はきっと、これからの自分の生活に生きてくる良い経験になったと思います。

■後輩へのメッセージ

自分は指定校推薦で大学を受験したのでそのほかの受験方法で大学進学を考えている人に対してのアドバイスをすることは難しいですが、強いて受験のポイントを一つ挙げるとしたら、まちがいなく『第一志望の大学に受かるんだ』という強い気持ちを持つことだと思います。学力を向上させたいと考えたときに、まず目標を立て、すぐに勉強を始めるべきです。勉強は、量をこなせばおのずと質が上がっていくものだと思います。
また、どの受験方法を選ぶにしろ、準備は早めに行なうことをおすすめします。速めに目標を立て、進路を実現できるようにがんばってください。

I was able to pass Ritsumeikan University on the recommendation of a designated school.

　In my third year, I became very aware of the importance of going to university. I had no knowledge about university admissions until then, so I started by researching entrance examinations, such as the AO entrance examination and the open call for recommendations, but I thought that the entrance examination with the designated school recommendation was the most suitable for me and decided to use it.

　I decided to use the designated school recommendation system to enter a university, but in order to get a recommendation slot, I had to meet the requirements for grades and deviation scores. Since I had only studied for regular exams, my grades met the requirements, but the results of the mock exams showed a large difference between the deviation of the students who had been accepted to my first choice university and my own deviation. I thought that the most important thing to do in order to get a spot on the recommendation list for my first choice university was to get a result on the mock exams, so I started to study.

　I started studying late and had to balance my time with club activities, so I thought about how to study efficiently. First of all, I asked the teachers in charge of each subject about reference books and study methods for exam preparation. The teachers gave me advice that matched my ability. After that, I continued to study by solving question books and asking my teachers about the problems I didn't understand. Also, when I was troubled or at a loss for a career path, I consulted with my teachers and the guidance counselor's office. The teachers gave me appropriate advice each time, and I was very grateful for that.

　What I think now is that it is important to find a method of study that suits you, but it is more important to have a strong desire to pass the university of your first choice and a strong will to continue your studies. I am sure that the experiences I gained on the university entrance examinations were good experiences that I will be able to use in my future life.

Message

It is difficult for me to give advice to those who are thinking of entering a university by other means, because I applied to a university by way of recommendation, but if I had to pick one thing to point out for entrance examinations, it would be to have a strong determination to get into the university of your first choice without a doubt. When you want to improve your academic ability, you should first set a goal and start studying right away. I think the quality of your study will improve as you study more and more.
Also, no matter which method you choose, we recommend you to prepare for the examination as soon as possible. Set your goals as soon as possible and do your best to make your career path a reality.
