探究学習プレゼンテーション決勝（３学年）
9月10日（火）、探究学習において予選を勝ち抜いた３年生の６プロジェクトのプレゼンテーションが行われました。
各々が昨年から深めてきた内容を余すことなく伝え、そこから生まれた考察やそれぞれの思いも深いもので、大変有意義なものでした。
ただ調べるだけの内容にとどまらず、校外に飛び出して企業、団体の方々にもご協力を仰ぎ、内容を深められたと同時に、協力いただいた方々の力の大きさや、自分の力だけでは成し遂げられないことがいかに多いかということなどを強く感じたようです。 結果の詳細は以下のとおりです。

昨年から3年生全員がこの探究学習において各々のプロジェクトを深めてきました。この探究を通じて予選を勝ち抜けなかった生徒たちも大いに成長できたと思います。その生徒たちにもたくさんの企業・団体の皆さまが快くご協力くださいました。この場をお借りして御礼申し上げます。ありがとうございました。

The Grand Prix winner Yanaginuma was qualified to participate in the national high school MY PROJECT AWARD Tohoku preliminary contest.

We think that through this Inquiry Based Learning, the students who failed to win the preliminaries were able to grow considerably. 卒業生による探究型講演会（１学年）
９月１１日に１年生を対象に、本校卒業生の 桑名 裕恵 さんに『夢の実現をめざして』という演題で職業講演を行って頂きました。
桑名さんは現在、警察署に勤務しておられます。仕事の内容や高校時代の思い出、高校生活で得たことや、日々の生活の大切さを教えていただきました。
今後の進路実現に向けて、自分を見つめ、進路を考える契機としてほしいと思います。

Hiroe Kuwana, a graduate of our school, gave a vocational lecture titled 'Realizing Dreams' on September 11.
Ms. Kuwana is now working at the police station. She taught us about her work, memories of high school days, what she gained from Shoshi high school, and the importance of our daily life.

■合格の秘訣
私はこの度、ポラリス保健看護学院へ自己推薦入試で合格することができました。私がこの学校を第一志望校に決めたのは中学三年生のときです。そのため高校に入学してから志望校で悩むことはありませんでしたし、私の選択に対して両親の理解も早くから得られました。
自己推薦入試は、英語か数学のどちらか一つを選択して行う学科試験と小論文、面接でした。私はもともと英語が得意であったため、英語を選択しました。しかし、ポラリスの自己推薦入試は合格率が低いため、どうせ落ちるだろうとなかなかやる気が出ず、やっと受験勉強を本格的に始めたのは受験の一か月前からでした。残り一か月で合格するためには効率のいい勉強をしなければいけないと考え、ひたすら英単語を覚えるなどの勉強ではなく、看護模試の解き直しや苦手な分野の復習、出題傾向の高い英単語を集中的に覚えたりするなどをして、合格するために必要なことだけをやって過ごしました。小論文の練習は国語の先生に添削をお願いして、夏休み明けから始めました。模試では毎回Ｃ評価を取るくらい苦手な小論文でしたが、繰り返し練習することによってコツをつかみました。自己推薦は指定校や公募推薦とは違って担当の先生がつかないため、全部一人でやらなくてはいけません。そのため大変だった点もありましたが、多くの先生が私のことを気にかけてくれ、担当でもないのに面接練習や志望理由書の面倒を見て下さりとてもありがたく思いました。
自己推薦入試はただ学力が優れている人を求めているのではありません。学力以外にも優れた人間性が求められます。しかし、私は部活をやっていなかったので、部活をやっていた人と比べるとどうしてもアピールできるものが少なく、校外活動に積極的に参加したり、保健委員会の委員長を務めたりしました。また資格を取ることにも力を入れました。周りの人も持っているような資格では意味がないので、より難易度の高い英語検定二級を取得し、とにかく合格するために自分に付加価値をたくさんつけました。
推薦入試では、その学校がどのような人材を求めているのか、その学校が求める人材になるためにはどのような努力をする必要があるのかを考えて行動することが大事です。これから苦労する日が続くと思いますが、進路実現のために頑張ってください。応援しています。
■後輩へのメッセージ
受験では、学力と同じくらい、強い精神力が必要です。受験勉強は自分との孤独な戦いであるため、少し勉強がうまくいかないと焦りと不安でどんどん追い詰められていきます。また受験が近づくにつれて感覚が鋭敏になっていき、周囲のちょっとした言葉で傷つき、考え、自己肯定感が低くなります。もちろん全員がそうであるとは限りませんが、私はそうでした。合格発表前も、クラスの子がみんな順調に受かって良い流れを作ってくれているのに、私が落ちてその流れを壊したらどうしようという心配もありました。何回泣いたか分からないほど受験期間は心が持たず憔悴しきっていました。いくら勉強をしても、当日に不安や緊張のせいで力を発揮できなければ意味がありません。自分は自分です。自分をしっかりともって、何を言われても、何が起きても動じない心をもって強く生き、受験に打ち勝ってください。応援しています。

'Add value to yourself'
The self-recommendation entrance examination consisted of a paper test, an essay test and an interview, which were conducted by choosing either English or mathematics. I chose English because I was originally good at English. Polaris, however, had a low pass rate, so it was hard to get motivated to fail anyway, and it wasn't until a month before he started studying seriously. In order to pass the examination within the remaining month, I thought that I had to study efficiently, and instead of just learning English words, I just had to do the necessary things to pass the examination, such as re-examination of the nursing mock examination, review of the field I was not good at, and intensive learning of English words that tended to be used in the examination. I asked my Japanese teacher to correct my essay, and I started it after summer vacation. I was so bad with my essay that I got a C rating every time I took the mock exam, but I got the knack by practicing repeatedly. Unlike the designated school or the public recommendation, self-recommendation does not have a teacher in charge, so you have to do it all by yourself. There were some difficult points because of that, but I was very grateful that many teachers cared about me and took care of the interview practice and the statement of reason for application even though I was not in charge.
Self-recommendation entrance exams are not just for people with excellent academic ability. In addition to academic ability, excellent humanity is required. However, since I didn't have any club activities, there were few things that I could appeal to compared to the people who had club activities, so I actively participated in extracurricular activities and served as the chairman of the health committee. I also put a lot of effort into getting a qualification. It is meaningless to have a qualification like other people have, so I got the second grade of the English proficiency test, which is more difficult, and added a lot of value to myself in order to pass anyway.
In the entrance examination by commendation, it is important to think about what kind of person the school is looking for and what kind of effort is needed to become the person the school is looking for. I think you will have hard days from now on, but please do your best to realize your career path. I'm cheering for you.
Message
You need as much mental strength as academic ability to take an examination. Studying for the entrance exam is a lonely battle with yourself, so if you don't study well, you will be driven into a corner with haste and anxiety. Also, as you approach the entrance exam, your sense becomes more sensitive, and you will be hurt by small words around you, and your thoughts and self-affirmation will become lower. Of course not everyone is like that, but I was. Even before the examination results were announced, I was worried about what I would do if I failed to pass the exam despite the fact that all the students in the class had passed smoothly and made a good flow. I couldn't tell how many times I cried during the exam because I was so distraught and exhausted. No matter how hard you study, it's meaningless if you can't show your strength because of anxiety or tension on the day. I am myself. Take care of yourself and overcome the entrance exam with a strong mind that will not be upset no matter what you are told. I'm cheering for you.

防衛大学校・防衛医科大学校 入試説明会
９月５日の放課後、自衛官のご担当者をお招きし、防衛大学校・防衛医科大学校の出願説明会を行いました。
防衛大学校は、自衛隊のリーダー（幹部自衛官）となる人物を育成する大学教育機関です。防衛省の機関であるため「大学校」という名称ですが、一般大学と同じく４年制の教育を行い、卒業時には通常の大学と同じく「学位」が授与されます。また、学生の約１０％が海外留学したり、留学生（海外の士官学校学生等）も多数いることなどから、国際教育においても幅広く学ぶことが出来ます。
また、防衛医科大学校は、「医官（医師である幹部自衛官）となるべき者を養成し、医学に関する高度な知識・研究能力を修得するための教育・訓練を行うこと」を目的として開設された防衛省機関です。看護学科も開設されており、防衛大学校と同じく、一般の医科大学と変わらない教育を行います。
両校の出願は特殊な内容があるため、説明会を実施しました。２年生も参加しており、今後へ向けての進路選択の幅を広げました。
Explanatory meetings for entrance examinations
at the National Defense Academy and National Defense Medical College
After school on September 5, we invited personnel in charge of the Self-Defense Forces and held a briefing session on applications for the National Defense Academy and the National Defense Medical College.
The National Defense Academy is a university educational institution that fosters leaders (Senior SDF personnel) of the Self-Defense Forces. As it is an institution of the Ministry of Defense, it is called "university", but it provides a 4-year education system just like regular universities, and students are awarded "degree" upon graduation, just like regular universities. In addition, approximately 10% of the students study abroad, and there are many international students (Military academy students abroad), making it possible to study a wide range of international education.
The National Defense Medical College is an organization of the Ministry of Defense established for the purpose of "To train persons to become medical officers (Senior SDF personnel who are doctors) and to provide education and training to acquire advanced knowledge and research capabilities concerning medicine". There is also a nursing department, which provides the same education as general medical schools as the National Defense Academy.
We held a briefing session because the applications of both schools had special contents. The second year students also participated in the program, which expanded the range of career options for the future.

就職試験開始まであと１週間
～ 試験対策をぬかりなく ～
今年度の高卒予定者に対する一般企業の就職試験が１週間後の９月１６日から始まります。採用試験の統一性や平等性の観点から、新規高卒者への一般企業就職試験の解禁日は毎年、全国敵に統一されています。進路だより１６号でもお知らせした通り、本校からも３４名の就職希望者が受験を予定しています。企業の採用担当者の方からお話しを伺うと、「高校生や高卒者へ求めるのは、「やる気」や「元気」、「挑戦する気持ち」など、一言でいうと『フレッシュな感じ』です。」ということでした。「自分が、その会社で周りの人のためにどんな仕事が出来るのか。」ということを考えながら、採用試験にのぞみましょう。以下に、試験のポイントを記載しますので、参考にして目標企業の就職内定を勝ち取ってください。
また、進学希望者の人も上級学校進学後には、「就職」が待っています。高校在学中も勿論ですが、上級学校進学後に以下のようなことを意識して自分を高めていくことを心がけましょう。
