■合格の秘訣

　私は高校二年生のときに医療機器を開発する仕事に携わりたいと考えました。そのときに同志社大学を知り、指定校推薦があるということも知りました。推薦をもらうためには、評定や偏差値などの条件を満たしていなければなりません。

　私が高校一年生のときは、部活動に力を入れていました。高校二年生になってから進路のことを考えはじめ、勉強との両立に力を入れました。しかし部活動が終わってからは、一時間の帰り道のために、体は疲れきっていました。さらに、ご飯を食べたり、風呂へ入ったりしているとあっという間に十時を過ぎてしまいました。そこから勉強をしていたので、多くの勉強時間を確保するのは困難でした。それでも一時くらいまでは勉強するようにしていました。また、学校の休み時間の十分間は、英単語などを覚えるのに費やしたり、昼休みは数学に時間を使っていました。部活動が休みの日は放課後、自習室へいき勉強していました。部活動を引退してからは、毎日、自習室へ勉強をしに行きました。

　私の受験内容は、志望理由書と面接でした。初めて志望理由書を書いて、先生に添削して頂いたときは、こんなにもいらない内容があったのかと驚きました。志望理由書を何度も書き直しては添削して頂き、書き上げることができました。面接は志望理由書よりもひどいものでした。面接の練習を始めたころは、志望理由を相手に伝えることすらできませんでした。それでも先生と都合が合う日の放課後は毎日面接練習を行いました。

　受験会場の京都までは、一人で宿泊しに行きました。そんな中でも面接がうまくできたのは、何度も繰り返し行った面接練習や、そこから得た自信があったからだと思います。

　受験を終えてから思うのは、自分に自信をもつことが大切だということです。自信をつけるためには努力が大切になってきます。私は指定校推薦でしたが、他の事に対しても同じことが言えると思います。将来の夢があるのならば、今、何をしなければならないのか・今やるべきことをやっていれば自然と自分に自信がつくと思います。受験期間は、たくさんの人に支えられ、アドバイスをもらってきましたが、最後に頑張るのは自分です。頑張ってください。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　受験までの期間は、長いようで短いです。私は、どのように一日の時間を使うかを、その日にザックリと考えて行動するように心掛けていました。

　勉強の他に、行きたい学校、就職先について詳しく調べておいた方が良いです。また、オープンキャンパスに参加するのも良いと思います。モチベーションが高まるというのもあるのですが、受験のときに一度行ったことがある場所ならば、不安にならないと思います。

　最後に、なかなか自分の思うような結果がでないとき、諦めないでください。そこで諦めてしまう前に、なぜ思うようにいかないのかを考えてみると良いと思います。次に繋ぐチャンスとなります。

When I was in my second year of high school, I wanted to get involved in developing medical equipment. At that time, I learned about Doshisha University, and I also learned that there is a recommendation of designated school. In order to get a recommendation, you have to meet the conditions such as rating and deviation value.

When I was in the first year of high school, I focused on club activities. When I became 2nd year of high school, I started thinking about my career and tried to balance it with my study. But after the club activities, I was tired because I had to go home for an hour. In addition, when I was eating or taking a bath, it passed 10 o'clock in an instant. Since I studied from there, it was difficult to secure a lot of study time. But I tried to study until about one o'clock. I also spent ten minutes during my school break learning English words, and spent my lunch break learning mathematics. I went to study in the study room after school on days when the club activities were off. After retiring from club activities, I went to study in the study room every day.

The contents of my examination were the application form and interview. When I wrote the statement of reasons for applying for the first time and had my teacher revise it, I was surprised that there were so many unnecessary contents. I was able to write it up after rewriting and correcting the statement of reason for application many times. The interview was worse than the application form. When I started practicing for interviews, I couldn't even tell them why I wanted to apply. Even so, we did interview practice every day after school on the day when we were available.

I went to Kyoto and stay alone. I think the reason why I was able to do the interview well in such a situation was because of the confidence I gained from the repeated practice of the interview and from it.

What I think after the exam is that it is important to have confidence in yourself. In order to gain confidence, effort is important. I was recommended to a designated school, but I think I can say the same thing about other things. If you have a dream for the future, what do you have to do now? If you do what you have to do now, you will naturally have confidence in yourself. During the exam period, many people supported me and gave me advice, but it's up to me to do my best. Good luck.

Message

The time to take the exam seems long and short. I tried to think and act quickly on how I would spend the day.

In addition to studying, you should check the school you want to go and the place of employment in detail. Also, I think it's good to participate in the open campus. It is partly because you are motivated, but if you have been there once when you took an exam, you won't be worried.

Finally, don't give up when you don't get the results you want. Before you give up, you should think about why it doesn't work as you want. It's the next chance to connect.

『夏休みからの受験勉強』

■合格の秘訣

　私はこのたび同志社大学に指定校推薦で合格することができました。春からは、より勉学に励みたいと思います。私が志望校を決めたのは、夏休みの直前でした。それまでなんとなく進学するかどうか迷っていた私に、先生が進めてくださったのが同志社大学でした。しかし、その時点では評定は足りていても、偏差値が足りませんでした。そこで最終判定は、夏休み明けの確認テストの結果で考慮すると言われました。

　そのため、まず第一に点数が一番伸びる教科を重点的に勉強しました。私は日本史が一番得意だったので、日本史に一番力を入れました。ベネッセのClassiの一問一答は出題範囲をやり込み、正答率をすべて１００％にして、わからないところは動画を見たりして勉強していきました。国語と英語は、過去問をやり込みました。夏休み中は毎日できる限り勉強しました。友達と遊べないのは、とても嫌でしたが、無事、指定校推薦の候補生となれたときは、「夏休みを返上して勉強して良かった」と心から思いました。

　指定校推薦をいただいた後は、面接試験に向けての練習が始まりました。私はそれまで面接は、質問の答えを暗記して答えるようなものだと思っていました。しかし、不意に予想もしていなかった質問がきたとき、答えにつまってしまうときがありました。そのときに、面接担当の先生から「暗記するのはダメだ」と言われました。理想としては、質問に対してその場で頭の中で答えを考えて言えるようにすることでした。私が受験する学科は、日本史を学ぶ学科なので、日本史の内容を問う質問が来てもいいように、歴史の本をたくさん読みました。もちろん、新聞でニュースを確認したり、京都の世界遺産や、歴史をたくさん調べました。こうしたたくさんの練習や下準備をしてきたため、試験当日は今までやってきたことをやればいいだけだと思って、落ち着いて試験に臨むことができました。

　合格するにあたって、本当にたくさんの先生方に教えていただき、とても感謝しています。合格という形で、先生方にお礼をお返しすることができて、とてもよかったと思います。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　私は、偏差値が足りず、三年生の模試でとても苦労しました。１・２年生の頃から、模試を真剣に受けていればよかったなと、後悔しています。そのため、今からでも面倒くさがらずに一回一回の模試を真剣に受けてほしいと思います。

　また、まだ志望校が決まっていないときは、できるだけたくさんの学校のオープンキャンパスに行った方がいいと思います。パンフレットを見ることと実際に訪れることでは、まったく違います。校舎や授業、まわりの町並みを見ることで、この大学に行きたいと強く思い、勉強の励みになると思います。じっくりあせらず、志望校を選んでほしいと思います。３年生の夏休み明けでも遅くないので、ぜひ今から頑張ってほしいと思います。

'From Summer Vacation'

I was able to pass Doshisha University by recommendation of a designated school. I want to study harder from spring. It was just before the summer vacation when I decided the school of my choice. It was Doshisha University that my teacher recommended to me, who had been wondering whether I should go on to university or not. However, the deviation value was not enough even though the rating was enough at that time. So, I was told that the final decision will be considered in the result of the confirmation test after summer vacation.

For that reason, first of all, I focused on the subjects with the highest scores. I was best at Japanese history, so I put the most emphasis on Japanese history. Benesse's Classi question and answer range was chosen, and the percentage of correct answers was all 100%. I did past exam questions in Japanese and English. I studied as much as I could every day during the summer vacation. I hated not being able to play with my friends, but when I was able to become a candidate for a designated school, I thought from the bottom of my heart, "I'm glad I gave up the summer vacation and studied.".

After receiving the recommendation of the designated school, we started practicing for the interview. I used to think that an interview was like memorizing the answers to questions. But when I suddenly got an unexpected question, I couldn't answer it. At that time, the interviewer told me, "You can't memorize it.". Ideally, I wanted to be able to think and say the answer to the question in my head. The subject I'm going to take is Japanese history, so I've read a lot of history books so that I can ask questions about Japanese history. Of course, I checked the news in the newspaper and looked up the world heritage and history of Kyoto a lot. With so much practice and preparation, I thought that on the day of the exam, all I had to do was do what I had done so far, so I was able to take the exam calmly.

I am very grateful that so many teachers taught me how to pass the exam. I think it was very good that I was able to repay the teachers in the form of passing the exam.

Message

My deviation value was not enough, so I had a hard time at the mock exam of the third grade. I regret that I should have taken MOSHI seriously since I was a freshman or sophomore. Therefore, I want you to take the simulation test once seriously without being bothered even now.

Also, if you haven't decided which school you want to go, you should go to as many open campuses as possible. It is completely different to look at the brochure and to actually visit. Looking at the school buildings, classes, and the streets around the university will encourage you to study. I want you to choose the school of your choice without hurrying. It's not too late even after the summer vacation of the 3rd grade, so I hope you will do your best from now.

指定校一覧 7月11日公開予定

 現３年生に対する指定校一覧を７月１１日(木)に公開を予定しています。「指定校推薦制度」とは、大学・短期大学・専門学校から優先的な入学枠が確保されている入試制度です。この推薦は、上級学校と尚志高校の信頼関係で成り立っています。もちろん、尚志高校と生徒の皆さんとの信頼関係があって、はじめて利用できる制度です。そのため、指定校推薦に関する尚志高校の推薦条件は、厳しく設定しています。
                   

【今年度の指定校推薦の特徴】

 ①大学の「入学定員厳格化」の影響で、一部の学校で昨年度と大きく変更になっている。
 ②推薦条件に「英語の外部検定試験の取得状況」を設定する学校が増えてきている。
 ③小論文・面接試験以外に「学科試験」(筆記試験)を課す学校が増えてきている。

 １、２年生の皆さんも現３年生に対する指定校一覧を進路指導室で見ることができます。ただし、今回公開する指定校の一覧は、現３年生を対象としたもので、次年度以降にも指定校推薦があるとは限りません。
※尚志高等学校では、学校長(本校職員も含む)の推薦書で受験する入試制度を「推薦入試受験」とし、推薦書が必要でないものを「自己推薦受験」・「ＡＯ入試受験」・「一般入試」等として扱います。

(１)推薦入試は、大きく２つに分けられます。
 「指定校推薦」→上級学校から、尚志高校に対して受験する生徒の推薦依頼がある。
 「公募制推薦」→全国の高校生に対して幅広く募集している。
☆推薦入試で受験するためには「受験したい学校の推薦条件」と「尚志高校の推薦条件」を両方満たす事。
※推薦条件を満たしている希望生徒に対して、会議で審議し、最終的に校長先生が判断して、受験できるかどうか、が決まります。
 
(２)受験したい学校の推薦条件
・指定校推薦→上級学校から送られてくる公文書(正式文書)に記載。     
・公募制推薦→各学校の募集要項に記載。

(３)尚志高校の推薦条件
Ⅰ.学習に関する条件 →「評定平均値」と「校内実力テスト・模擬試験の偏差値」で判断する。
　※当該学校の一般入試で求められる学力水準(合格者平均偏差値)にほぼ達していること。
Ⅱ.生活に関する条件 → 生活行動面において、他の模範で真に推薦に値すること。

List of schools designated for entrance examination in the first year of the Reiwa era
 scheduled to be released on Thursday, July 11

The list of designated schools for current 3rd graders is scheduled to be released on Thursday, July 11. "Designated school recommendation system" is an entrance examination system in which universities, junior colleges, and vocational schools give priority to entrance quotas. The recommendation is based on trust between senior high schools and Shoshi High Schools. Of course, it is a system that can be used only when there is a relationship of trust between Shoshi High School and students. Therefore, Shoshi High School's recommendation conditions regarding the recommendation of designated schools are strictly set.

[Features of this year's school recommendation]

(1) Due to the influence of "Stricter admission quota" of universities, some schools have changed greatly from last year.
(2) More and more schools are setting "Acquisition of external examination in English" as a recommendation condition.
(3) In addition to essays and interviews, more and more schools are imposing "academic test" and (written examination).

First and second graders can also see the list of designated schools for current third graders in the guidance room. However, the list of designated schools that will be released this time is for current 3rd grade students, and it doesn't mean that there will be a recommendation of designated schools in the next year or later.
*At Shoshi High School, the entrance examination system in which students take entrance examinations with the recommendation of the principal (including employees of the school) is classified as "entrance examination by recommendation" and those in which a recommendation is not required are classified as "self-recommendation examination" "Admissions examination for AO entrance exam" and "general entrance examination" etc.

(1)The entrance examination by commendation can be roughly divided into 2.
"recommendation of designated schools" - > Senior High School asks Shoshi High School to recommend students who are going to take the entrance examination.
"public recommendation" - > It is open to a wide range of high school students nationwide.
*In order to take the entrance examination by recommendation
Satisfy both "Recommended conditions for schools that want to take the examination" and "Student requirements for Shoshi High School recommnendations".
*Students who meet the recommended conditions are discussed at the meeting, and finally the principal decides whether they can take the examination or not.

(2)Recommended conditions for schools that want to take the examination
*Recommended by designated schools - > recorded in an official document (formal document) sent from the upper grade school.
*Recommended by public recruitment - > listed in the application guidelines of each school.

(3)Student Requirements for Shoshi High School recommendations
I.The condition related to learning is judged by "average rating value" and "Deviations in school performance tests and mock tests".
* The student must have attained almost the academic ability required for the general entrance examination of the school concerned (average deviation of successful candidates).
II. Conditions related to living → Truly recommended by other models in the aspect of life and behavior.
