■合格の秘訣

　私はこの度、日本女子大学文学部英文学科に合格することができました。私は勉強面を振り返ったときに、頑張れたと胸を張って言える自信がないので「合格の秘訣」というテーマにふさわしい話になるかどうか分かりませんが、合格に至るまでの出来事を綴っていこうと思います。

　私は中学生の頃から英語が好きで、大学でも英語を学んでいきたいと、なんとなく思っていました。参加するオープンキャンパスは、毎回英語系の大学でした。英語検定などの外部試験は積極的に受け、最終的には目標としていた二級を取得することができました。定期考査や模試では一番英語に力を入れて、できるだけ良い点数を取ろうと頑張りました。

　しかし、「絶対この大学に行きたい」と思えるような大学がなく、進路の希望調査を書く度に、ころころと志望校が変わっていました。三年の夏休みの三者面談までは、別の大学を一般で受けるつもりでした。先生にもそのように話していました。三者面談の何日後に、日本女子大学の英文学科を紹介して頂きました。それまでは考えたことのない大学だったのですが、ネットでその大学について調べて興味を持ち、八月のオープンキャンパスに参加してみることにしました。学生の方とお話をしたり、日本女子大学の歴史や女子大の強みについての説明を聞くうちに、初めて「この大学で英語を学びたい」という目標が出来上がりました。

　九月の進学分析会で推薦を頂けることが決まり、面接と小論文の練習が始まりました。小論文は元々苦手でしたが、担当の先生が丁寧にご指導くださったお陰で、何とか形にすることができました。また、面接練習や志望理由書の作成を通して、改めて将来の夢について深く考えることができました。

　私は日本女子大学を勧めてくださった先生にとても感謝しています。あのまま自分で悩んでいたら、きっと辿り着くことができなかった進路です。指定校推薦というとあまり良いイメージを持っていない人が多いかもしれませんが、それが最終的に後悔しないと思える選択肢なら、選んでみてもいいと思います。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　私は高校の三年間でやりきれなかったこと、やり残したことが沢山あります。何よりも一番思うのは、「もっと頑張って勉強しておけばよかった」ということです。この合格体験記を書くのも、とてもためらいました。一般受験組より努力が劣っている私なんかが...という気持ちでいっぱいでしたが、反面教師のつもりで書かせていただきました。

　悔いのないように、と口では簡単に言うことができますが、行動に移すのはとても難しいことです。しばらく経ってからでないと自分が悔いを残していたことに気づかないからです。明日から頑張ろう、そう思っているとあっという間に一年が過ぎてしまいます。なかなか難しいとは思いますが、毎日何かに本気で取り組んでみてください。

　皆さんが進路を実現できることを祈っています。

　I have been accepted into the Department of English Literature at Japan Women's University. When I look back on my studies, I don't have the confidence to say with pride that I did my best, so I don't know if this story is appropriate for the theme of "The Secret to Success", but I will try to describe the events leading up to my success.

　I have loved English since junior high school, and I had an inkling that I wanted to study it at university. Every open campus I attended was an English university. I actively took external exams such as English language tests, and eventually I was able to obtain Level 2, which was my goal. I put the most effort into English during the regular examinations and mock exams, and tried my best to get the best score possible.

　However, I didn't have a university that I could think of that I wanted to go to, and every time I wrote a survey on my career choice, I kept changing my choice of school. I was planning to take a general entrance examination at a different university until I had a three-way interview during the summer vacation of my third year. I had told my teachers as much. A few days after the three-way interview, I was introduced to the Department of English Literature at Japan Women's University. I had never thought about this university before, but I researched about it on the Internet and became interested in it, so I decided to attend the open campus in August. I decided to attend the open campus in August. As I talked with students and listened to explanations about the history of Japan Women's University and the strengths of a women's university, I realized for the first time that I wanted to study English at this university.

　In September, I received a recommendation at the college analysis meeting, and I started practicing my interviews and essays. I wasn't good at writing essays to begin with, but thanks to the careful guidance of my teacher, I was able to put them into practice. Also, through interview practice and writing a statement of reasons for applying, I was able to think deeply about my future dreams.

　I am very grateful to the professor who recommended Japan Women's University to me. If I had been worried about my future, I would not have been able to find the path I wanted to take. Many people may not have a good image of designated schools, but if it is an option that you will not regret at all, I think you should choose it.

Message

　There are many things that I didn't get done in my three years of high school and many things that I have left undone. Most of all, what I think about most is that I should have worked harder and studied harder. I was very hesitant to write this testimonial about my success. I was filled with the feeling that my efforts were inferior to those of the general entrance exam group, but I wrote it with the intention of being a reminder.

　It's easy to say that you have no regrets, but it's very difficult to put into action. Because you don't realize that you have left regrets until after a while. I'll start working hard tomorrow, and the year will fly by in the blink of an eye when I think about it. I know it's not easy, but try to really work on something every day.

■合格の秘訣

　私が指定校推薦で受験することに決めたのは、3年生の夏の三者面談の時でした。

　それまでは一般受験も視野に入れていましたが、同志社大学の推薦があるということを聞き、オープンキャンパスに参加した上で、将来の夢に合致していたため受験することに決めました。特に受験をする大きな決め手となったのはオープンキャンパスです。大学の雰囲気や学生の姿、学部説明会等を受け、ここで学んでみたいと強く感じました。大学受験をする人はオープンキャンパスには参加するべきだと思います。そこの大学でしか学べないことや、実際に見ることでわかる発見が必ずあるからです。

　受験することを決めてからは、小論文や面接について先生方にご指導をしていただきました。指導をしていただく前は、小論文の文の構成や内容は合格に至るには程遠いものであり、面接の受け答えも自分の伝えたいことが上手く伝えられませんでした。しかし、先生方のご指導や、学部に対しての理解を深めることによって、合格することができました。法というのは社会を形作る上で必要不可欠なものであり、様々な分野と密接に関係しています。そのため、日ごろから様々な分野のニュースを見る習慣をつける努力をしました。そのようにして学部への理解を深めたことが、合格に結び付いた要因でもあると思います。また、入学後に英語等のテストを課される大学が多いとも聞いていたので、合格が決まった後も毎日計画的に学習することを心掛けました。合格して終わりではなく入学後に備えて努力することも推薦で受験した学生には求められることだと思います。

　最後に、私は高校受験に落ちこの高校に入学してきたこともあり受験とは辛く厳しいものと決めつけていましたが、寒い冬の後に暖かい春が訪れるように、厳しさの後に合格という春が待っていると思います。私が合格に至ることができたのも辛いときに相談に乗って下さった先生方や、励ましてくれた友達のおかげです。ありがとうございました。

■後輩へのメッセージ

　合格というのは一日にして至るものではないと思います。だから日々を大切にして積み上げていくべきです。これを読んでいる人の中で指定校推薦を使い大学受験をしたいと考えている人に言いたいことは、推薦だからといって普段の勉学も大事になってくるということです。推薦分析会では模試の偏差値や評定が大きく影響します。また、合格が決まったからといって勉強をやらなくていいわけではありません。私も一般受験の友達とともにセンター試験を受けたり、勉強したりしました。

　最後に指定校推薦というのは尚志高校という看板を背負って大学に進学することだと思います。そのため、尚志の名を汚さないように大学で勉学に励む必要があると思うので、指定校推薦で入試をしたいと考えている人は、よくその点を考えてほしいです。

　I would like to write about what I think about these three years.

　First of all, I failed the prefectural high school in Koriyama City and entered this Shoshi High School. At first, I was not motivated to go to school, because I didn't want to go to school because I failed the entrance examination. However, I changed my mind and decided to do my best for one year and did club activities and studies without any problems.
In my second year of school, I chose science without deciding on a particular career path. At that time, I just wanted to keep my grades up.

　In my third year, I finally started to think about my career path. I couldn't imagine what I wanted to do or what I wanted to be, so I consulted with many different teachers and received advice. Then I decided to become a dietitian. The reason I decided to become a nutritionist was because my grandmother died of an illness. My grandmother said "I want to eat delicious food" and I wanted to support people who suffer from illnesses like her from a nutritional point of view.

　Since I came to Soshi, I wanted to use the designated school recommendation system. There were not many schools where I could qualify as a Registered Dietitian, and there were some courses that I could not choose from, so I was very worried. I had maintained my grades since my freshman year, so I was okay, but I struggled to raise my deviation as much as I wanted. Even though I received a recommendation from a designated school, it didn't mean that I had passed the exam, so I didn't let up and did every possible measure with my teacher. I had an interview that lasted only about five minutes, but I was able to calmly answer questions that I hadn't practiced. I think it's better to memorize key words at the interview, not sentences you've prepared, so you can respond better to questions you haven't practiced.

　I had a lot of worries and pains in the process of realizing my higher education, but I was able to come to this point with the support of my teachers and parents. When you are in trouble, please don't keep it to yourself, but ask for help. There are many people who will help you. Please believe in yourself and do your best. I will support you.

Message

　I'm sure that some of you have not yet decided on a career path. However, I think you should check the grades. If you are going to a designated school, some universities have their own grading system, so you should keep your grades at least to avoid decreasing the number of schools you can challenge.

　I think there are a lot of people who are anxious about it. I was the same way. If that's the case, I think it's a good idea to talk to someone about it. It could be a friend, a teacher, a parent, anyone. Listen to many people's opinions and worry a lot. And find out what you really want to do. Don't be in a hurry and do your best to do what you can do now. I hope that you will be able to move forward in the direction you want to go.

■合格の秘訣

　私はこのたび、立命館大学に指定校推薦で合格することができました。

　私は三年生になってから、大学進学を強く意識するようになりました。それまで大学進学についての知識を持っていなかった私は、入学試験の方法を調べることから始めました。AO入試や、公募制推薦入試などありましたが、指定校推薦入試が自分に合っていると思い、指定校推薦を利用して大学に進学しようと考えました。

　指定校推薦で大学に進学しようと決めましたが、推薦枠をいただくためには、評定や偏差値などの条件を満たしていないといけません。私は、定期テストの勉強しかしてこなかったため、評定は条件を満たしていましたが、模試の結果は、第一志望の大学の合格者偏差値と自分の偏差値に大きな差がありました。自分が第一志望の大学の指定校推薦枠をいただくためには、模試で結果を出すということが一番大切なことだと考え、勉強に取り組み始めました。

　私は、勉強に取り組み始めた時期が遅かったことに加えて、部活と両立させなければいけないということもあり、いかに効率よく勉強に取り組むかを考えました。まずは、各教科担当の先生方に受験対策のための参考書や勉強法について質問しました。先生方は、私の実力に合ったアドバイスをしてくださいました。その後は、ひたすら問題集を解き、わからない問題を先生に質問するという方法で勉強を継続していきました。また、進路について悩んだり行き詰まったりしたときは、担当の先生や進路指導室の先生に相談をしました。その都度先生方が、適切なアドバイスをくださったので、とてもありがたかったです。

　私は、この方法で勉強を進めて、良い結果を得ることができましたが、今になって思うことは、自分に合った勉強の方法をみつけることも大切ですが、それ以上に、第一志望の大学に合格したいという強い気持ちと、勉強を継続することができる強い意志の方が大切だということです。大学受験で得ることができた経験はきっと、これからの自分の生活に生きてくる良い経験になったと思います。

■後輩へのメッセージ

自分は指定校推薦で大学を受験したのでそのほかの受験方法で大学進学を考えている人に対してのアドバイスをすることは難しいですが、強いて受験のポイントを一つ挙げるとしたら、まちがいなく『第一志望の大学に受かるんだ』という強い気持ちを持つことだと思います。学力を向上させたいと考えたときに、まず目標を立て、すぐに勉強を始めるべきです。勉強は、量をこなせばおのずと質が上がっていくものだと思います。
また、どの受験方法を選ぶにしろ、準備は早めに行なうことをおすすめします。速めに目標を立て、進路を実現できるようにがんばってください。

I was able to pass Ritsumeikan University on the recommendation of a designated school.

　In my third year, I became very aware of the importance of going to university. I had no knowledge about university admissions until then, so I started by researching entrance examinations, such as the AO entrance examination and the open call for recommendations, but I thought that the entrance examination with the designated school recommendation was the most suitable for me and decided to use it.

　I decided to use the designated school recommendation system to enter a university, but in order to get a recommendation slot, I had to meet the requirements for grades and deviation scores. Since I had only studied for regular exams, my grades met the requirements, but the results of the mock exams showed a large difference between the deviation of the students who had been accepted to my first choice university and my own deviation. I thought that the most important thing to do in order to get a spot on the recommendation list for my first choice university was to get a result on the mock exams, so I started to study.

　I started studying late and had to balance my time with club activities, so I thought about how to study efficiently. First of all, I asked the teachers in charge of each subject about reference books and study methods for exam preparation. The teachers gave me advice that matched my ability. After that, I continued to study by solving question books and asking my teachers about the problems I didn't understand. Also, when I was troubled or at a loss for a career path, I consulted with my teachers and the guidance counselor's office. The teachers gave me appropriate advice each time, and I was very grateful for that.

　What I think now is that it is important to find a method of study that suits you, but it is more important to have a strong desire to pass the university of your first choice and a strong will to continue your studies. I am sure that the experiences I gained on the university entrance examinations were good experiences that I will be able to use in my future life.

Message

It is difficult for me to give advice to those who are thinking of entering a university by other means, because I applied to a university by way of recommendation, but if I had to pick one thing to point out for entrance examinations, it would be to have a strong determination to get into the university of your first choice without a doubt. When you want to improve your academic ability, you should first set a goal and start studying right away. I think the quality of your study will improve as you study more and more.
Also, no matter which method you choose, we recommend you to prepare for the examination as soon as possible. Set your goals as soon as possible and do your best to make your career path a reality.

■合格の秘訣

　私はこの度、関西学院大学総合政策学部に指定校推薦で合格することができました。この尚志高校に、サッカーで全国制覇をするという目標を持って入学しました。入学した頃は部活動に力を注いでおり、自分自身の次の進路を考えることは出来ていませんでした。私が大学への進学を意識し始めたのは、高校二年生の頃です。私自身の将来の夢を考えた時、関西学院大学の指定校推薦が来ていたため、関西学院大学へ行くための勉強を始めました。

　まずは、評定平均値を上げるために全力で勉強しました。その結果が出て、評定平均値を上げることができました。もうーつは模擬試験です。定期テストと違い出題される範囲がとても広く、なかなか結果が出ませんでした。しかし私は、部活動が終わった後などの時間を利用し、学校の教科書や参考書の勉強をしました。また、先生からいただいた過去問題を解き、少しずつではありますが結果が出るようになりました。何度かくじけそうになりましたが、一緒に寮生活をしている仲間もいたため、自分もがんばろうと思うことができました。

　模擬試験のアドバイスとしては、日本史に力を入れて勉強すると、偏差値が上がりやすく良いと思います。私も最初は苦手意識を持っていましたが、短期間で結果を出すことが出来ました。私の英語の勉強法は、ネクストステージという参考書とターゲット1900という単語票を用いて勉強をすることでした。英語力を伸ばす上で単語力は必須になってくるので、コツコツ覚えた方が良いと思います。

　校内の選考に選ばれた後は、書類審査と面接がありました。面接では、書類審査で書いた内容をもとに面接官から質問されることが多いため、最初の書類がとても大事な物だと思います。時間をかけて考え、面接につながるような内容を書いてほしいと思います。担当の先生はとても熱心に指導してくださり、とても感謝しています。校内選考を通ったら、合格というのはありません。合格という書類が届くまで気を抜かず、合格をつかんでほしいです。全力でがんばって下さい。

■後輩へのメッセージ

進路を実現するためには早い段階から自分の進路と向き合うことが重要になると思います。将来の自分は何をしたいのかを考え、そのためにはどうしなければいけないのかを決めてほしいです。周りの人と同じことをしているだけでは、一流になれないと私は思います。高校卒業後の進路は、今後の人生を決めるといっても過言ではないと思います。言葉で言うのは簡単だと思いますが、行動できるかできないかが合格と不合格の分かれ道です。尚志高校には、一人一人に真剣に向き合ってくれる先生がたくさんいます。少しでも悩みごとがある人は、先生に相談してみるのも良いと思います。高校生活3年間は、人生の宝物になると思います。悔いのないように毎日を大切に生きて下さい。

I was able to pass the School of Policy Studies of Kwansei Gakuin University on a recommendation. I entered Shoshi High School with the goal of winning the national championship in soccer. When I entered the school, I was so focused on club activities that I wasn't able to think about my next career path. It was during my sophomore year of high school that I began to think about going to university. When I was thinking about my own future dream, I received a recommendation from Kwansei Gakuin University, so I started studying to go to Kwansei Gakuin University.

　First of all, I studied as hard as I could in order to raise my grade point average. As a result, I was able to raise my grade point average. The other thing I did was to take practice tests. Unlike regular tests, the range of questions was very wide, so it was difficult for me to get good results. However, I used the time after club activities to study school textbooks and reference books. I also solved the past exam questions given to me by my teachers, and the results came out little by little. I almost got discouraged a few times, but some of my dormitory friends made me want to do my best, too.

　As for advice on mock exams, I think it's a good idea to focus on studying Japanese history so that it's easy to raise your deviation. I was not good at it in the beginning, but I was able to get good results in a short time. My method of studying English was to use a reference book called "Next Stage" and a vocabulary book called "Target 1900" to help me study. I think it's better to learn the vocabulary because it's essential to improve your English skills.

　After being selected for the on-campus selection process, there was a document review and interview. At the interview, the interviewer often asked me questions based on what I wrote in the document review, so I think the first document is very important. I think you should take some time to think about it and write something that will lead to the interview. The teacher in charge of the school is very passionate about teaching me, and I am very grateful to him. Once you pass the screening, you are not guaranteed a place at the school. I hope you won't let up until you receive the document saying you have been accepted. Please do your best and do your best.

Message

In order to realize your career path, I think it is important to face your career path from an early stage. I want you to think about what you want to do in the future and decide what you have to do to achieve it. I believe that you won't be able to become a top-notch student just by doing the same things as the people around you. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the path you take after graduating from high school will determine the rest of your life. It's easy to say, but the difference between success and failure is whether you can take action or not. There are many teachers at Shoshi High School who seriously deal with each student. If you have any worries, it is a good idea to talk to the teachers. Your three years in high school will be a treasure of your life. Please cherish every day of your life so that you will have no regrets.

SDGsとは、持続可能な開発目標（Sustainable development Goals）の略で、2015年に国連で採択されて依頼、世界中の人々がこの目標を共有して2030年に向かって歩んでいます。

◎1990年以来、１日あたりの子どもの死亡数は１万7000人減少したものの、毎年500万人を超える子どもが、５歳の誕生日を迎える前に命を落としている。

生まれたときから当たり前に病院が身近にあって、すべての人が安い医療費で治療が受けられる日本は、世界的にも珍しい国です（国民皆保険制度）。世界に目を向けると、改善傾向にあるとは言え、まだまだ医療制度が整っていない国が多いのが現状なのです。アメリカですら国民皆保険制度がありません。

ただ、少子高齢化の影響で、高齢者の医療費負担が増加していることも知っておきましょう。

SDG.3 Health and well-being for all

The SDGs stand for Sustainable Development Goals, adopted and commissioned by the United Nations in 2015, and people all over the world share these goals as we move toward 2030.

◎ Since 1990, the number of child deaths per day has dropped by 17,000, but more than 5 million children die before their fifth birthday each year.
◎ Since 2000, maternal deaths have decreased by 37%.
